THE FUNNIEST WIPEOUTS ON YOUTUBE

God bless Youtube! And God bless the guys who post clips like the ones we've found, below.

"I thought you said there was no f*cking drop!"

"It was filmed in La Rosière in the French Alps," Dave Weekes, who posted the clip, tells us, "right towards the end of the season 05-06.

"All of us were in our first season and were just getting into the whole freestyle side of riding. The guy in the video (Chris Halliday, aka Ducky) was, supposedly, one of the better skiers among us. But to this day I really don't know what exactly he was trying to grind here.

"From what I recall, we had all just come down off the boardercross, and the melted snow had revealed the roof. From the side we were aproaching it, you couldn't tell there was a drop, so we sent Kieron (the snowboarder in the grey hoodie) to scout it out. Acording to him it looked safe, relatively easy, and had no drop.

"As you can hear from the video, there are two memorable quotes. 1: 'Where did you mean?' and the other, my favourite, from ducky, 'I thought you said there was no f*cking drop!!!' "

"Your skis are over there..."

"The location was Andorra," 'mdarian', who posted the clip, recalls. "We were doing some jumps and did not expect Andy (the girl who crashed) to try it. Normally she just skis down and joins us at the end. For some reason she decided to go for it (good for her).

"She was okay - no injuries other than her pride. By the way, if you look at the high speed version, you'll notice there is bit missing just after she lands. The cameraman was laughing so hard that he stopped filming for about half a minute."

"I haven't tried a box jump since."

"The clip was filmed in Les Arcs," says Jimmy, who posted in the sequence, and stars in it too. "I was ok after the fall - just a bloody nose and a headache! But haven't tried a box jump since..."

Target fixation

"It was in Chamonix on the Grands Montets," Dimitris, who posted the clip, tells us. "Two girls named Melissa (an American) and Anita (a Cypriot) crashed at relatively high speed. Luckily, our friend Yannis was capturing the moment..." He assures us no-one was hurt!

Actually, this one will make you wince, rather than laugh.

We're going to link to this one, rather than embed it, as it contains a music track, and we don't want to get a b*ll*cking from the music company - so click here to see Jamie knock himself out in Méribel.

"It's actually me being the idiot," says Jamie, who posted the clip. "It was in the moon park in Meribel during my 02-03 season, on what was called the Road Gap beside the drag lift. We'd been hitting the kickers all day, so when I hit that jump I expected a kick and got none hence the ridiculousness of the fall! I knocked myself out but there was no lasting damage (I don't think!) and I managed to ski to the bottom for a check-up... Since then I've been a lot more careful and have started using a helmet - funnily enough!"

Haven't seen enough wipeouts yet? Then check out this clip from our Video section. It the out-takes sequence taken from the magnificent film Long Story Short, and has a higher crash-density than any other clip we've seen.
